Marsalis did this with a whole ensemble giving Layla a go-round with a particular NOLA tint, even got Eric Clapton to say some nice things about jazz. Well this is even farther fetched, but, at a listen, might make perfect sense.

Delayed!

Seems we’ve landed in the same COVOID pot as the rest of the world, and it is my hope that all the band, volunteers and followers are surviving in good health and spirits. Herewith, a reflection of one of the tunes from the repertory, but from a very different angle.

Back at Harbour Quay June 1

Harbour City Big Band will be finishing off the season with an hour-long set at Harbour Quay in conjunction with the Farmer’s Market. Come check us out starting at 10:00 a.m. as we work through some new material and some old favourites!
